GENE INFORMATION
Barbels is a physical mutation that adds thick whiskers or Antennae to the head of an animal.
They mimic Dragon in fantasy or Catfish barbels in real life.
COLOR RULES
This mutation follows the Natural Colors guide and colors of what it touches.
EDGE TYPES
Barbels is a physical mutation and has no edge types.
EXPLANATION AND RULES
Barbels creates sets of thick whiskers and/or antennae on an animal.
They're more tendril-like and less like whiskers seen on mammals.
At minimum there should be one set present, and at maximum you may cover the entire head in them as long as it remains reasonable.
A whisker/antenna shouldn't be much shorter than the snout itself and at its longest it may be a little longer than the animal's body length.
Whiskers can end in a feathered tuft and antennae can display as tendrils, insect or moth antennae.
Whiskers and antennae can be asymmetrical.
The Barbels mutation should follow the Natural Colors guide and inherit the colors of what it touches.
