Mustelid presents as a two-layered marking Gene.
It has a dark, hard edged marking on top of a lighter gradient, similar to what's seen on badgers and raccoons.
Mustelid should be relatively symmetrical.
EXPLANATION AND RULES
Mustelid creates a lighter gradient marking that starts from the head of a creature.
It may cover the whole neck, but should not go outside of it.
Additionally, it features a solid, darker marking on top that usually presents as a long stripe, varying in thickness.
The top marking may add a few stray spots or smaller stripes going alongside it, as long as these don't mimic other genes like Dusted.
It may also optionally have small holes cut into it.
The top marking may also slightly leave the gradient area, but shouldn't stray too far from it.
Keep in mind that the gradient layer will always be a lighter natural color, or a lighter color than the base.
The top marking should always be a darker natural color, or a color darker than the base.
If your creature has a very pale base color which makes it impossible to show a proper natural lighter gradient,
you can choose to make the gradient layer the same color as your base coat, thus only have the dark part visible!
