GENE INFORMATION
Hollow creates a cut out black marking of varying natural shapes and coverage.
Just like its sister marking Piebald, it is inspired by real-life markings such as tobiano and overo in horses, but in black.
It does not need to be symmetical.

EXPLANATION AND RULES
Hollow presents as a pattern of black patches on the body.
Hollow can follow the same rules as Piebald and thus should take on the appearance of real-life instances of Piebald for its shape.
It may additionally mimic markings in horses like Tobiano, Overo and Splash.
It must always be black in appearance.
Hollow can be hard edged or have a slightly textured edge.
Like Piebald, it may have a subtle black halo around the edges.
There is no true minimum for Hollow as long as it's discernible, at maximum it may cover 90% of the creature.
Hollow must always be black or off-black in color.
Be careful not to make Hollow too light, it should always be black looking in contrast to the overall design.
It can have a slight tint to it as long as the tint stays in the base color range of the creature.
For example, blue tinted Hollow would not be allowed on a creature with a red base without a color modifier.
Like Piebald, Hollow is a topmost gene and will go over all other markings unless otherwise specified.
Piebald is the only exception as Piebald and Hollow can go on top of each other.
Hollow should always look natural and not become too stripey in appearance or have too many holes in it.
It is recommended to look at real life examples of animals affected by Piebald for Hollow as well.
An easy way to create Hollow is by putting a black layer at the top of your design and then erasing parts of it.
