GENE INFORMATION
Gem Coat is a special gene that overrides the color rules for either the base or other genes.
It cannot be inherited and must be applied to an import via obtaining the Treasure Bond collection item.

This gene is a color modifier and has no edge types.
EXPLANATION AND RULES
Gem Coat allows your creature to take on the colors and appearance of a gemstone of your choice.
It can affect either the base or the genes and may optionally affect Claws and Keratin.
It should be shaded and not appear flat, mimicking the appearance of the real life counterpart.
Keep in mind that only naturally occuring gemstones may be used.
